Message from JSTOR:
“Thank you for your message, and I apologize for how long its taken us to get back to you. We use Atypon software to create the different country names on the Institution Finder list, which can be found here:
I assume that this is the page you were on when you had trouble finding Kosovo. Unfortunately, since the Atypon software does not include Kosovo, we have no way of entering it into this list.
I have filed a ticket with our technical team to see if there is any way to get around this issue. I will update you as I have more information.
I’m sorry that I do not have a more satisfactory answer for you at this time, but at least wanted to let you know the background on this issue and what I’ll be doing about it going forward.”

“Thanks so much for your message. The tool you used to access JSTOR is our institution finder. Unfortunately, this tool only lists countries with participating institutions (universities, non-profit organizations, secondary schools, etc). At the moment there aren’t any institutions in Kosovo that participate in JSTOR. We are, however, always interested in expanding access to scholarly materials. You can find out more about our mission here: http://about.jstor.org/10things
Should you know an institution who wishes to participate, you can find out how that works here: http://about.jstor.org/content/choose-your-community
As an individual however, you can access JSTOR from anywhere. JSTOR provides a growing number of access options for individual researchers. You may find more information about all programs on our “Access for Individuals” page: http://about.jstor.org/individuals
The options for individuals include Register & Read, free, read-online access to more than 1,200 archival journals to individual scholars and researchers. When you encounter an item that is part of Register & Read, you may sign-up for a free MyJSTOR account to read the item online. Learn more about Register & Read and watch an introductory video at http://about.jstor.org/rr
For people who need access to more journal content and want to download PDF copies of articles, JPASS is an affordable individual plan that includes access to more than 1,500 archival journals. Individuals who purchase a one-month or one-year plan gain unlimited reading access and limited downloading of all articles in the JPASS Collection. To learn more about JPASS, visit http://jpass.jstor.org”
