Dear Madam / Sir, I am a citizen of Kosovo and regular user of www.scorebig.com. I am extremely disappointed to find that I am unable to select Kosovo as my origin country on user profiles on the official website of Scorebig. As you might be aware, Kosovo has declared independence and so far has been recognized as a country by 100+ UN member states, including United States, UK and the vast majority of EU countries. In attempt to clarify further the Kosovo’s declaration of independence, in response to Serbia’s question on legality of this act, the International Court of Justice on 22 of July 2010 concluded on its decision “that the adoption of the declaration of independence of 17 February 2008 did not violate general international law, Security Council resolution 1244 (1999) or the Constitutional Framework. Consequently the adoption of that declaration did not violate any applicable rule of international law.” (see para. 122 of the Court’s decision: http://www.icj-cij.org/docket/files/141/15987.pdf). This unambiguous wording of the World Court, a principle organ of the United Nations, should be seen as a primary reference when considering any issue with regard to Kosovo’s statehood and its place in international relations. Kosovo has one of the youngest population in whole Europe. We are keen internet users. Please do not deny us our rightful place as part of the global online generation, we simply want to be able to choose the option which best defines where we are from, while using Scorebig and looking for cheap tickets to world-wide events.. Your supportive response would be of invaluable help to overcome a technological barrier that affects online users from Kosovo attempting to utilize Scorebig experience.
